CCA is a unique organisation, and vital to the cultural life of Glasgow. We are a registered charity (no: SC020734).

Like many other arts organisations and charities, we have faced great financial challenges in the past years: from cuts to arts funding to the COVID pandemic, all compounded by our previous closures due to Sauchiehall Street fires.

We rely on donations and support to ensure that CCA can provide a home for arts and cultural experiences from across Glasgow and beyond, as well as supporting artists, audiences and communities. You can make a one-off donation here.

Why support CCA?

CCA is a not-for-profit, multi-purpose centre for contemporary art and culture. At the core of all activities is the desire to work with artists, develop relationships with communities across the city and beyond, commission new work, and provide a welcoming and accessible space for the widest possible audience to enjoy art and culture.

We host a year-round programme of exhibitions, events, films, music, literature, workshops, festivals and performances - working collaboratively with more than 200 programme partners a year, the majority of which are part of our open source programme, which means we share our building and resources with a range of artists, individuals and organisations.

All CCA exhibitions and events are free to attend, and we actively encourage our partners to offer free, low-cost or sliding scale options for their events. Artists we work with are enumerated according to Scottish Artists Union rates.

We need your support at a time when art, artists and community are more important than ever. There are a multitude of ways to join us and make a difference: become a patron, contribute to an upcoming exhibition, sponsor a residency, or help expand the gallery's engagement initiatives.

If you would like to support CCA’s work, you can:

Support a month long Creative Lab residency for an artist: £5000

Your support can enable the CCA to provide artists the freedom to create new work, experiment, and collaborate beyond their usual practice in a space free from everyday constraints. CCA is committed to enhancing accessibility and offering support to artists facing specific barriers, including those with caring responsibilities, at a cost of over £250 per week.

Support an Intermedia exhibition: £4000

Intermedia has represented Glasgow-based early career artists since its inception, and you can contribute to furthering professional and artistic development and showcasing a programme of new and exciting artistic talent in Glasgow. Each exhibition involves paying the artist a Scottish Artist Union fee and covers installation and invigilation.

Support Common Ground for a day in offering space and events for refugees and people going through the asylum seeking process: £500

Your contribution could contribute to an event in Common Ground, a strand that provides a safe and inclusive space for refugees and individuals in the asylum process. Common Ground seeks to enrich people’s lives and offer opportunities that might otherwise remain inaccessible.

Support Seed Library to work in communities across the city on seed saving and growing: £500

Glasgow Seed Library is a collection of seeds and a community of growers that acts as a source of education, community, and sustainability. They promote the vital adaptation of seeds to the ever-changing Scottish climate, and foster community engagement.

Support an open source partner by covering one day of technical assistance: £200

Your support can cover the cost of one day of technical assistance for an open source partner. By sharing our resources, our open-source model enables more artists and organisations to flourish, effectively distributing vital funding and support throughout the sector, and giving a home to projects that would otherwise have no home.

You can also make a one-off donation by clicking here, or leave us a gift in your will.

We appreciate every donation of any amount. As a registered charity, every donation goes directly to supporting the work we do and ensuring that we can continue to serve the communities of Glasgow through art and culture. Thank you for your support.
