Sabhal Mòr Ostaig Presentation

Open to everyone. This is an opportunity to find out more about Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland's Gaelic College.

Gaelic Taster 
6.00pm/Free (30 mins)
Open to beginners of Gaelic, this is your chance to learn some Gaelic phrases.

Gaelic Song 
6.30pm/Free (30 mins)
Open to everyone. Learn a Gaelic song with Christine Primstrose.

Drama 
7.00pm/Free (30 mins)
Open to everyone. Come along and learn a few acting techniques with help from Arthur Donald, Drama Artist in Residence at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

TV Camera Skills
7.00pm Free (30 mins)
Open to everyone. At this workshop you'll learn the basics of using a TV camera.

Short films made by students studying on the TV Diploma course at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.


LIVE PERFORMANCE

Christine Primrose, regarded as one of Scotland's finest Gaelic singers, is a trailblazer who has been singing traditional Gaelic song all her life. Christine teaches Gaelic song at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig

Margaret Stewart has earned a reputation as one of Gaeldom's leading singers and has brought Gaelic song to audiences all over the world. Margaret is currently Musician in Residence at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig

Angus Nicolson Trio: Angus Nicolson, Andrew MacPherson & Murdo Cameron make up one of the freshest and most energetic acts on the folk scene today.

Peter MacKay has a PhD on the poetry of Seamus Heaney and William Wordsworth, and his poems have been widely published in the UK. He is currently Writer in Residence at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig Music Students- currently studying on the BA in Gaelic and Traditional Music degree programme, they performed at Celtic Connections in January.
