Creeping Bent Things Are Tough, But We Can Still Picnic

Celebrating in style to mark 25 years of Glasgow’s Creeping Bent Organisation, tonight’s delectable three-course audio picnic features new projects from label veterans together with freshly-signed talent. Post-punk provocateur Gareth Sager, of The Pop Group and Rip Rig & Panic fame, helms the live debut of his latest outfit The Hungry Ghosts, whose album Juicy Rivers was hailed by Mojo as “hurtling, hip-swingin’ rebellion with no palpable cause.” Creeping Bent heid honcho Douglas MacIntyre himself fronts avant-rock collective, Port Sulphur, which has seen collaborative involvement from such doyens as Davy Henderson, Jock Scot, James Kirk, Alan Vega and Vic Godard. Indie/jangle-pop quartet The Plastic Youth who are signed to Little Tiger Records, a record company run by HND Music Business students at Riverside Music College, will open the show.
