Paul (Girls’ Alex Karpovsky) and Jason (Everybody Wants Some ’s Wyatt Russell) are old friends who have drifted apart. When Paul is dumped by his fiancée and told his stand-up act is stagnating, he accepts Jason’s offer to be the opening act to his old friend’s moderately successful solo folk tour. However, when Jason reveals an ulterior motive to the tour, the affable friendship that has been rebuilt begins to show cracks. An utterly charming road movie with a charismatic central duo, a great soundtrack and a superb supporting cast including Melanie Lynskey and David Cross.
