The art of Indian cinema posters was once celebrated throughout the country; with each theatre employing a dedicated artist to paint a massive original mural for that week’s Bollywood blockbuster. The troubled Alfred Talkies in the heart of Mumbai is one of the last remaining dedicated Hindi cinemas, with chain-smoking, gruff-mannered and rough-talking Sheikh Rahman as the cinema artist fighting to keep the art alive. Original Copy is a poignant, funny and melancholic look at a dying art, which studies those whose passion for cinema is absolute.
