GIOfest IX
The ninth International Glasgow Improvisors Orchestra Festival invites guests from all around the globe – bringing new projects, new approaches to music and new technologies, including works exclusively designed for GIO. This is the most ambitious festival yet in terms of geographical range of guests, with artists from North America, Australia and around Europe.
The night features Javier Paxariño, Ken Slaven and Raymond MacDonald playing a trio; a performance by Anne Pajunen; and a UK Premiere - GIO performing Alister Spence’s new large piece for improvisation orchestra, Imagine Meeting You Here.
