Thu 2 August — Sun 12 August 2018

Following the fire at Glasgow School of Art and the O2 ABC music venue, the Centre for Contemporary Arts remains within the cordoned area in Garnethill. At this time, there is no set date for re-entry, and the centre expects to remain closed for the duration of July and August.

The box office for this event will move to Tramway, 25 Albert Drive, 0845 330 3501, and will go live on Friday 13 July. All tickets booked through CCA remain valid, and can be collected on the day of the event at the corner of Balshagray Crescent and Dumbarton Road, G11 6NA.

Embark on an audiovisual adventure as multimedia artist Robbie Thomson and composer Alex Menzies transform the 762 metre-long walkway of the Clyde Tunnel into a sensory subterranean spectacle. Inspired by marine mythology and science fiction, this otherworldly odyssey reveals robotic sculptures and electronic sounds which lead you through a series of close encounters. Immersive and intriguing, Portal presents a rare opportunity to re-discover this remarkable Glasgow landmark which celebrates its 55th anniversary year as part of the cultural programme of the European Championships 2018.

Please note this event takes place off-site at the Clyde Tunnel, with a meeting point at meeting at 911-919 Dumbarton Road, G11 6NA
