UKJF Natasha

Based on celebrated director/writer David Bezmozgis' short story this is a heartfelt coming-of-age drama, which explores first love as well as the conflicted Jewish immigrant experience. Mark, the 16-year old son of Jewish-Russian immigrants, is asked by his mother to chaperone Natasha, the rebellious daughter of his uncle's new wife, who has just moved to Toronto from Moscow. Though younger than him, Natasha is sexually experienced, and the two begin a passionate affair without their parents' knowledge, which inevitably leads to trouble.
