Make a Learning Resource for the CCA Learning Space | Open Call

We are looking for someone living or studying in Glasgow, to create a self-initiated activity for CCA’s new Learning Space.

CCA’s Learning Space will be on the ground floor of the building and is one of the ways the CCA aims to increase access to contemporary art. The Learning Space is a designated space for workshops, school trips and drop-in activities.


Our self-initiated resources are aimed at young people between 3-16 years old. Resources encourage young people to engage with contemporary art and relate to contemporary culture and ideas.

• Any age range between 3-16 years old

• 10-20 minutes to complete

• Encourage young people to think about the power of the arts

• Activity will be available in the Learning Space until a minimum March 2025

Young people will have access to graphite pencils, coloured pens and rulers. However use this to your advantage, learners can fold, scrunch or roll their paper.

• You must be living or studying in Glasgow

AND

You must fall under one of the categories below:

• Current student at college or university

• Out of education for less than one year

• Maximum one-year experience in your field (this can be in any field, art, youth work etc)

If successful you will receive a one-off payment fee of £115 (½ day of SAU rate).

• a summary of your idea, including age range (up to 150 words)

• CV (max 2 A4 pages)

• up to 5 examples of previous work. Examples of previous work could be session plans, activity sheets or learning projects you’ve worked on

Deadline: 30th June 12 midnight

If selected, you will be asked to develop your idea into an activity sheet of either one-sided A5, double-sided A5 or one-sided A4. The CCA will cover printing costs. You will not be able to use the designed activity sheet for any other organisations.
