Bloom

Maotik’s Mathieu Le Souard is concerned with patterns in nature, and how these can be technologically reproduced and manipulated. In his installation work, Bloom, visitors are encouraged to move fingers and hands across touch-sensitive surfaces, generating abstract floral shapes that burst vividly across the screens. As the flowers blossom and grow in unpredictable patterns, so too the accompanying music modulates, shifting in relation to the flowering of this virtual garden.

Returning for its sixth edition, the award-winning Sonica Glasgow festival, produced by Cryptic, brings a pioneering programme of world-class audiovisual arts across the city. Taking place from 10-20 March 2022, Sonica presents exceptional international artists alongside UK talent with 200 events featuring over 85 artists from 10 countries.
