Capoeira Beginners Workshop

Capoeira for Beginners Course, learn the Afro-Brazilian martial arts of Capoeira, a martial art that incorporates elements of dance, acrobatics, music, history, and more. A form of expression that is uniquely African in its essence, Brazilian in its genesis, while welcoming the whole world in its expression.

In this course, we will cover all the fundamentals of Capoeira from the movements and music to the history, gameplay, self-defense, and more.

The Classes will be from 7:30 until 8:30 at CCA, everyone is welcome.

The standard cost per class is £7 or £35 for the whole course, it is offered completely free to all African people and those of African descent. This is in order to improve access to Capoeira and combat cultural gentrification of the practice.

If there are financial barriers which would make it difficult for you to take part, concession is available. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
