Naad-Hara

New Scottish/Indian project Naad-hara features Lewis singer Mischa Macpherson and Hyderabad’s Ankna Arockiam, exploring their respective traditions together with award-winning Snuffbox fiddler/bassist Charlie Stewart, pianist Alistair Iain Paterson and Glasgow-born Hardeep Deerhe (Sodhi) on tablas.

STRÌ (Gaelic for ‘struggle’) is a new collaboration featuring songwriter, soundsmith Kapil Seshasayee and Gaelic singer Deirdre Graham. The duo will present original compositions and innovative settings of traditional Gaelic songs.

Gaelic

Bidh Naad-hara, am pròiseact ùr Albannach/Innseanach, a’ nochdadh Mischa Nic a’ Phearsain agus Ankna Arockiam aig Hyderabad, a’ rannsachadh an traidiseanan fhèin còmhla ri Charlie Stewart, am fìdhlear/beus-fhìdhlear bho Snuffbox a bhuannaich mòran duaisean, an cluicheadair Alasdair Iain Peatarsan agus Hardeep Deerhe (Sodhi) a rugadh ann an Glaschu, air tablas.

Is e co-obrachadh ùr a th’ ann an STRÌ (a’ Ghàidhlig airson ‘struggle’) sam bi an sgrìobhadair òrain agus fuaimniche Kapil Seshasayee a’ gabhail pàirt, agus an seinneadair Gàidhlig, Deirdre Ghreumach. Bidh an dithis a’ taisbeanadh sgrìobhaidhean tùsail agus suidheachaidhean ùr-ghnàthach do dh’òrain traidiseanta.
