Chinese Visual Festival

Now in its ninth year of screening the best in Chinese-language cinema in the UK, Chinese Visual Festival is bringing three of its most popular films to Glasgow. From Mainland China and Hong Kong, these films are a mix of fiction and documentary, covering themes ranging from gender identity to the generation gap through the lens of talented emerging filmmakers.

Following a successful first Scottish tour in Edinburgh last year, Chinese Visual Festival (CVF) is coming to Glasgow this autumn with some highlights from this year’s edition. Since its inception in 2011, CVF has established itself as a leading cultural event in London showcasing documentaries, fiction and experimental films from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tibet and beyond. It brings audiences a carefully curated selection of cutting-edge and challenging works from new and established directors alike.

九年来一直致力于为英国观众带来华语电影佳作的华语视像艺术节，今年将把三部重磅华语电影带到格拉斯哥。此次的华语作品涵盖了来自中国大陆和中国香港的新锐作者所创作的剧情片和纪录片，性别议题、代沟问题等主题都会在作者们敏锐的视角下一一展现。

继去年成功在爱丁堡举办巡展之后，华语视像艺术节将于今年秋天将这场视觉盛宴带到格拉斯哥。华语视像艺术节自2011年创办以来力求为伦敦观众带来最新最好的华语独立影像艺术作品，展映的作品包括来自中国大陆、中国香港、台湾、新加坡等地的剧情片、纪录片、实验电影等。华语视像艺术节旨在通过精心的策展，为英国观众展现来自华语电影界知名与新晋作者的前沿创作与探索。
