Jer Reid

Jer Reid is interested in the relationship between direct political/ philosophical comment and music, both improvised and composed, as well as the relationship between direct politics and non-narrative art generally. He's especially interested in what happens when that direct comment is within dance/music from sources like text, radio clips etc.

He'll be spending his time with various aspects of group improvisation, sharing the residency with various collaborators in dance, music, text, and visual art including film. He'll also use some of the time to work on a new piece, Fracking, with dancer Solène Weinachter for Tectonics Festival.
