Creative Lab Residency
Rob Churm & Joe Howe
Mon 29 September — Fri 24 October 2014
Rob Churm & Joe Howe
Rob and Joe will be holding an informal open studio event on Friday 24 October from 4pm, at which audiences can see some of the work produced by the pair during their Creative Lab Residency, as well as chat to the artists and try out one of their experiments. Free and open to all.
Rob Churm and Joe Howe will be using the Creative Lab Residency to support a new collaborative project, exploring new ways to create soundtracks for moving images. During their time in the lab they will hold a number of performances and screenings which explore innovative use of soundtracks.
Rob Churm is an established visual artist whose work is based in drawing, and is also a practicing musician with his band Gummy Stumps. He is currently researching new projects which will explore animation and film.
Joe Howe is a composer and musician. Having just received a distinction for his masters thesis in 'Sound For The Moving Image' at GSA in September of 2013, he is now beginning a period of development and experimentation into sound design for theatre and film, audio installations and audiovisual performance work.
