Sarah Forrest and Becky Šik
Interruption is often seen as a foundation of modernity or perhaps a perpetual gesture of it, allowing a fracturing or discontinuity with the past. Interruption is dynamic - as a necessity, a tool, an accident, an imposition, a rupturing and a vehicle that transports us from one place to the next.
For the Creative Lab Residency Becky and Sarah will be considering the interruption as a metaphor for collaboration, where one practice punctuates, responds, replaces or breaks into another. Through processes of writing, live audio recording, performance and the use of archival fragments they will be exploring interruption as both concept and method to disrupt and restore the experience of a piece of work.
