Sophie Macpherson

A beginning point for Sophie Macpherson's Creative Lab residency is the historical and contemporary connotations of stripes, considering visual and sculptural structure; deviancy; physicality; and non-verbal language. During this research period she will continue looking into the value and making of objects, and specifically clothes - as material and affective objects, structures worn and performed in, examining clothes and objects as visual code and language, attachments relating to knowledge, status and social hierarchies.
