Jessica Evelyn Argo
Programme Leader of BDes Sound for the Moving Image and graduate of GSA Dr.Jessica Argo (Phd 2017) will present new films produced by and featuring many Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra's digital global collaborations over the past 12 months including sonic ethnography from Australian sound artists, dance and theatre from Japan, and the spontaneous generation of ideas other global players from Mexico, Spain, New York, California (6pm-7pm CCA Clubroom) on Thursday 28th November.
This event is free and unticketed.
Following this screening join us at the Evening Concert for a hybrid telematic orchestra performance with improvising between the zoom orchestra and the room orchestra (7:30pm in the CCA Theatre) which will be recorded for the BBC Radio 3 New Music Show.

Jessica Evelyn Argo
Jessica Evelyn Argo is a theremin player and a cellist in Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra, hosting core orchestra rehearsals, curating GIOglobal weekly online sessions and assisting with public GIOdynamics and GIObabies workshops. Jessica has published research in GSA evaluating physical and emotional responses to ambisonic soundscapes, telematic music making, and immersive museum exhibits. She is also a Programme Leader of BDes Sound for Moving Image at Glasgow School of Art, where she teaches students deep listening to capture, transform and create sounds for art installations, film, video games or live performance.
At GIOFest XVI, Jessica will present new films produced by and featuring many of our digital global collaborations over the past 12 months.
