Come have a field day! Join us at the edge of the city at the beautiful Lambhill Stables for a relaxed afternoon of gardening, pickling and pizza.

• Explore the crops growing for seed, and lend us a hand with weeding, mulching, composting and planting out
• Make and take away local apple vinegars, fire cider and pickles with Glasgow Apple Pressing, and add to their apple map of Glasgow
• Browse the plant and seedling sale, all grown by the Lambhill Stables garden volunteers.
• Enjoy a slice of pizza from the outdoor woodfired oven or pick up a bite from the Community Cafe

If you’ve not made it to visit our seed plots yet, this is your chance!

Come prepared for unpredictable Scottish weather: bring a hat, sunscreen, warm and waterproof layers, and sturdy footwear for rough ground.

Email glasgowseedlibrary@cca-glasgow.com if you’d like more information about the event.

About the organisers

Glasgow Seed Library is a collection of seeds and a community of growers. The library stocks organic and open-pollinated vegetable, herb and flower seeds for everyone to borrow, grow and save. Throughout the year, Glasgow Seed Library organises free workshops, talks and events around seed skills, community growing and earth care.

Lambhill Stables
, on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal, is an inspiring community hub improving the north of the city for all. With a bike hub, cafe, kitchen and a community garden that is open to everyone, they provide opportunities for learning new skills, taking part in creative and social activities, and caring for the environment.

Glasgow Apple Pressing
is a collective of volunteers, providing a free service every Autumn for the people of Glasgow and beyond. They support people to make use of the yearly apple glut, to share their bounty, and enjoy making and tasting local diy food and drink.
