Want to learn to grow from seed-to-seed in field conditions? Join a small and social garden team to help us prepare, sow, grow and harvest.

Working in all weathers on site at Lambhill Stables Community Garden, you will be involved in physical outdoor work including building raised beds, netting, composting, natural pest control and monitoring the progress of our plants.

Over the course of a year, we will learn together how to successfully grow, nurture and nourish crops for organic seed production. The harvested seeds will be dried, sorted and packed for Glasgow Seed Library, for the community to grow in 2023.

Field Days are perfect for anyone who is keen to get outdoors, hands-on and learn-by-doing. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to share and learn. If you have them, please bring gardening gloves and outdoor boots, and wear warm, waterproof layers.

January

In January, we will plan for the year ahead, building beds and frames for netting and making signs. Meet us at the garden shed: you do not need to stay all day, drop-in and leave when you like.
