A young woman looks straight at us, she is bending over to the side and her head is appearing twice.

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival's Focus on Film programme triumphantly returns to the CCA, from Thursday 17 - Saturday 19 October.

After receiving a record-breaking 400 submissions, we will showcase stunning films that confront and reflect on mental health. These talented filmmakers have brought their stories to life through profound and thought-provoking cinema. We’re excited to share their incredible achievements in mental health filmmaking and engage in conversations about their films and the stories behind them.

With three feature films, five shorts packages and two special screening events - including our special International Film Awards ceremony - the programme will highlight exceptional work from Scottish talent and filmmakers from around the world, including from Australia, Canada, Greece and Singapore.

Many of the events feature pay what you can ticket pricing: £7 / £5 / £3 / FREE. SDH captions are available across the programme, with BSL interpretation provided for selected events.

And additional Focus on Film screening, of lyrical and hypnotic feature doc The Taste of Mango, takes place at Glasgow Film Theatre on Wednesday 16 October.
