GIOfest
The Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra return for their fourteenth annual festival of improvisation!
The Saturday evening program features two huge names in the global free improvisation sphere: Joëlle Léandre and Alexander Hawkins. Léandre returns to work the ensemble after a gloriously euphoric encounter at the Glasgow Jazz Festival in 2019, while Hawkins visits gliding high on the current of his most recent album, Togetherness Music, which has been described as “[a] masterpiece that can stand next to the best works of Mitchell, Braxton or Parker".

You can buy a 3 Day Festival Pass here. The pass is standard £20 / £15 concession.
Please note, that for reasons of capacity, this pass allows entry to the performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For free events such as workshops and films, please book seperately.
