A Ciambra
Director Jonas Carpignano follows up his debut feature Mediterranea with a raw, plaintive, coming of age drama, drawn from true stories of life among Italy’s Romani community. Pio (Pio Amato) is a tough teenager who thinks he is more than ready to enter the family business of theft, drug dealing and crime. As he is forced to assume the responsibility of being head of the family, he veers into increasingly dangerous territory. Who can he trust? Who should he betray? Every choice has a consequence, as the boy must decide where his future lies.
