Glasgow Film Festival Adapting for the Screen with Andrea Gibb, presented by NFTS Scotland

Books are one of the richest sources of material for film and television and so it is unsurprising that screenwriters appreciate the opportunities, as well as the pitfalls, in adapting for the screen. We are excited to be hosting this session with award-winning screenwriter Andrea Gibb (Elizabeth is Missing, Call the Midwife, Swallows and Amazons, Dear Frankie) who will discuss the challenges and demands of adapting from a book or real-life source and compare adaptation to writing an original screenplay.
