Glasgow Film Festival LUX Scotland: Funding & Sustainability CANCELLED

Due to the adverse weather conditions, and on the advice of the travel and emergency services, CCA will close at 2:30pm today - Unfortunately, this means the cancellation of all Glasgow Film Festival screenings for the remainder of today.

This panel discussion will explore questions around funding and financial sustainability in artists’ moving image practices, through historical and contemporary examples. The discussion will investigate the implications of artists working across exhibition contexts (cinema and gallery) and the effects that this mixed model (between distribution royalties and commercial sales) bears, both financially and creatively.

Speakers include artist and filmmaker Luke Fowler, producer James Mackay and academic researcher and writer Dr Sarah Neely. This event will be BSL-interpreted.
