Glasgow Zine Fest A Disobedient History of Trans Literature
Sun 19 April 2020
A Disobedient History of Trans Literature
An introductory talk to trans literature in English.
We’ll talk about the various ways that trans writers have refused and shaped literary genres, the explosion of trans writing in the last ten years, how zines, small presses, pulp magazines and self-publishing are vital to trans literature, and how trans literature shapes trans identity. You’ll come away learning about lots of books you didn’t know existed, and there’ll be time for discussion too.
