Mark Gould
In this performative lecture, photographic artist Mark Gould explores the ways in which art is engaged by, and engages with, unseen narratives of power, disability, neglect, shame, while also going on the occasional weird tangent!
Aided by occasionally helpful suggestions and comments from his PowerPoint, Mark will attempt to answer the following questions and more:
How can you photograph the shame of dead people?
What was MOMA up to with the CIA in the 1950s?
And why does Mark's PowerPoint keep talking back to him?
This event is part of the Now You See Us programme, a two-day showcase of new artist commissions, creative workshops, film screenings and vital discussions responding to this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival theme, In/Visible.
