Prîara Jô, after the egg, the war: The Panará children present their universe on a day of play in the village. The time of the war is over, but it is still alive in the children’s imagination.
Everyone in Hawaii has a 6-pack already: Teenagers lie in the black, warm sand, the sof glowing backlight of the deep sun makes them look beautiful. An enviable situation. They horse around like children, flirt and chat about future plans. Barely grown together as a group of individuals they’ll be torn apart next summer. They’re forced to leave their home in the Atlantic Ocean, La Gomera, the second smallest island of the Canaries. This clique will be split up across the archipelago and Europe, some of them have German, English or Italian roots. Experiences turning into memories. Identities in the making.
Director Marvin Hesse will be with us for a Q&A after the film.
