Now You See Us: Floating Along Silently by Sanjay Lago

In this solo performance, Sanjay Lago plays Shiv, a character whose emotions are running high as the party comes to an end. He is feeling invisible to his loved ones because he can’t fully share who he is. Bringing together poetry, comedy storytelling, and Bollywood dance, Floating Along Silently aims to raise the visibility of queer South Asian mental health and to share the experience of a community rarely portrayed in theatre.

Sanjay Lago
is a queer neurodiverse artist has previously worked with Soho Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland, Tron Theatre, Traverse and Tamasha, among others. He was recently awarded The Birds of Paradise Emerging Talent Award at the Neurodiverse Awards Fringe 2024 for his show Love Me Like a Chai Tea Latte.

This event is part of the Now You See Us programme, a two-day showcase of new artist commissions, creative workshops, film screenings and vital discussions responding to this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival theme, In/Visible.
