In conjunction with his solo exhibition at Intermedia gallery, Of particular images, Leontios Toumpouris invites Professor Laurence Grove and Dr Luis Gomes to give a talk on what an emblem really is. Focusing on language-image interaction, Grove and Gomes will talk about the interdisciplinarity of emblems, their tripartite structure and moral considerations.

Professor Laurence Grove and Dr Luis Gomes are Director and Deputy Director respectively of the Stirling Maxwell Centre for the Study of Text/Image Cultures at the University of Glasgow.
