Sacred Noise
By Gemma Legan
Composer: Tom MacFadyen
Religiously raging. May aw rise and scream.
Wan microphone wae a beaming light oan it. The heights ae heaven and the depths ae hell and in the middle; a lassie trying tae find her voice.
Sacred Noise is an auto-fictional performance, fusing the echoes ae a church hall, the distortion ae a punk gig and raw Scottish storytelling aw in wan. Expect music that rattles yer bones and touches yer soul, and that yearning in yer chest yer left wae after it aw ends.
Singin, shoutin, screamin; the lassie tries tae find the words, the noise, the music that rings true. Join her as she hums through the contradictions: praying wae wan eye open.
Let us gather. Bring yersel, yer questions and yer earplugs
