Experience the power of sound and movement with Soulmatic Guides. Mele will facilitate stretch and conditioning movements in collaboration with ELANDA’s DJ set featuring instruments like MIDI keys and djembe drums. Release through the rhythms of leftfield bass, Afro-electronic music and celebrate the holistic benefits of these artistic expressions for mental and physical wellness.
ELANDA is a DJ and producer from Zimbabwe, now based in Bristol, known for her percussive, hypnotic melodic style. After making waves in Scotland's music scene, she secured a bi-monthly residency at La Cheetah Club, Glasgow, for STFU!. Her debut track, Glasgow Stint was released in February 2024 under Redstone Press, supporting Scottish Action for Mental Health. She also released Bunda Bop featuring Mod-R, gaining BBC Radio One play. ELANDA has supported renowned artists like DJ Lag and Eliza Rose. Her sound spans afro-tech, global bass, leftfield, and UK dubstep, creating an eclectic, rhythmic-led melodic bass journey.
This movement session is open level for black people and people of colour who identify as women and/or non-binary.
