Are you a queer filmmaker wanting to meet other queer filmmakers and develop project ideas together? Have you ever wanted to test your skills by participating in a 48h film?
A 48h film is a film planned, filmed and developed in under 48 hours - a perfect test of your creativity and a great opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers. During this month’s session, we will be setting up groups and guidelines for SQIFF’s 48h film project. The themes, required elements and time frames for the project will be discussed in person. You will afterwards be sent out to produce your films. All films developed as part of the project will be screened at a later Queer Filmmakers Group session.
The SQIFF Queer Filmmakers Group is an initiative to bring local queer filmmakers together for monthly two-hour group sessions to network and support each other in the development of film projects. We aim to grow the group in the future to become a collective of queer filmmakers in Glasgow.
The group is open for any level of filmmaking and we really encourage people just starting out in the medium to come along.
Facilitated by Leo Torre Barral. Supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
