Things That Go Well with Rice: A Being Mixed Food Zine Potluck
Sat 4 May 2024
Wheelchair accessible
Credit: Being Mixed Project
A potluck and zine-making workshop for people who identify as mixed-race, multi-racial or bi-racial.
As we eat, we will discuss our different relationships with food, specifically rice. We’ll doodle, draw and write our memories and recipes over the tablecloth, which our photographer will take polaroids of. As we finish eating and chatting, we will collate the pictures into a new zine for you to take away with you.
Bring a dish that ‘goes well with rice’ to share with the group. Rice will be provided!
Please note: this event is for people who identify as mixed-race, multi-racial or bi-racial. Not suitable for people with severe food allergies.
This event is part of Glasgow Zine Fest, you can view the full programme here.
