CANCELLED Try out Taiko Beginners Japanese Drum Workshop

Following the fire on Friday night, CCA will be closed until at least Monday 25 June. Our thoughts are with our friends and neighbours at Glasgow School of Art and O2 ABC, and the incredible fire service.

Come and play huge drums! Georgie McGeown of ILK hosts a Taiko (Japanese drum) workshop for complete beginners. No musical or drumming experience necessary. Open to anyone over 16, of any fitness level.

Playing Taiko is exhilarating, energising and joyous. Release your power! Georgie has been teaching and performing Taiko for over fifteen years and currently runs the Taikotronik Dojo in Glasgow, giving regular Taiko courses. She has played with Mugenkyo and Issho Taiko Drummers and now plays with ILK, a band with Taiko, guitar, bass and violin.

Bring/wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Drums and sticks will be provided.
