ÚNA, standing for Uniting Narratives with Arts, is a nonprofit two-day festival aiming to foster a cultural and educational bridge between Latin America and Scotland.
The core of our dialogue will explore myths and tales emerging from the forests of the Scottish Highlands to the rivers of the Amazon rainforest, as a way to uncover parallels and contrasts between Celtic and Indigenous traditions and customs. From here we will open up discussions on wider contemporary social-environmental issues in both Latin America and Scotland, with a special focus on human impact, environmental sustainability, identity and geopolitics.
This cross-cultural exchange will feature talks, panel discussions, a photography and art exhibition & film screenings. Plus a night of music and performance at CCA featuring award-winning Gaelic singer Fiona Mackenzie and Gilbert MacMillan.

ÚNA es una iniciativa sin ánimo de lucro, su principal objetivo es tender puentes culturales y de aprendizaje entre América Latina y Escocia, con el fin de despertar consciencia sobre problemáticas sociales y ambientales en ambas partes.
El núcleo de nuestro diálogo explorará mitos y leyendas emergentes en los bosques de las Highlands en Escocia y en los ríos de la selva amazónica, como punto de partida para descubrir paralelos y contrastes entre las tradiciones y costumbres celtas e indígenas. Desde aquí abriremos discusiones sobre temas sociales y ambientales contemporáneos tanto en América Latina como en Escocia, con un enfoque especial en el impacto humano, la sostenibilidad ambiental, la identidad y la geopolítica.
El festival incluirá charlas, páneles, exhibición de arte y fotografía, cine y una noche de música y performance en el CCA.
